A message from Judy Newman and the AQC team

27 10 2010

I am passing this on to you all on behalf of the AQC team.  I recommend the Jane Davila classes!  Check these out and book if you would like to attend.  Don’t miss out!  The website is www.aqc.com.au for more information.

Bookings for 2011 go live Wednesday October 27

The much awaited program for the Australasian Quilt Convention is now available on the website and bookings will be live from 9am Wednesday October 27. If you cannot see the Class Information, try refreshing your screen. Programs have already been mailed.

The automated booking system makes it easy to see which classes are available – and you can book for a friend at the same time if you wish. Just choose your package, select your classes and then get ready to book. All you will need is the internet and a credit card.

Tutors include experts in piecing, appliqué, machine-quilting and a range of design areas, and hail from around Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the USA.  Esther Aliu, Jenny Bowker, Gloria Loughman and Beth and Trevor Reid are back by popular demand.

Coming to AQC from the USA are Carol Taylor, creator of colourful award-winning artworks, textile artist Jane Dávila and John Flynn – renowned for his quick, easy methods for piecing.

Christine Porter from the UK and a popular tutor around the world, is making her first appearance at AQC, teaching designs inspired by antique European floor tiles.

There’ll be a range of classes from exquisite traditional designs to art techniques that push the boundaries – look for beautiful projects from talented tutors such as Australians Di Ford, Margaret McDonald, Kay Haerland, Linda Steele and Carol Wilkes, and Anna Williams from New Zealand.
We look forward to bringing you another fantastic time at AQC.

Kind regards,

Judy and the AQC Team
